Simple help after an unwanted popup
Popup Detective checks which apps were active near the time of a popup. Its results are clues. They can be wrong.
Quick start
- Open Popup Detective.
- Follow the steps to turn on the quick check.
- After a popup, tap A popup just happened.
- Read the reasons and choose a safe next step.
Good to know
- Popup Detective never removes an app by itself.
- Android will ask before removing an app.
- Keep an app if you are unsure.
- A Home app controls the screen shown after you press the Home button.
- Work or school apps may need help from that group.
